About me:
I am a 27-year-old, 2010 graduate of Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA) and a transplant to Pittsburgh. After moving here, I (reluctantly) fell in love with the rusty charm of the ‘Burgh, and that love only grows deeper every single day. Working for an arts nonprofit, I got hooked on the power of passionate groups to change a community. In 2012, I made the move into a human services organization serving a neighborhood that has struggled with economic and social issues for decades. 2015 brought some changes to my life and my career: I accepted a for-profit consulting job and got engaged on the same day! Now I spend my days writing about transportation, and my nights planning a wedding for March 2016. I'm still fascinated by communities and how they work - people and infrastructure and governments and human services and cultural organizations all coming together to create real places.
When not working, you can probably find me having interesting discussions over coffee or wine, watching/listening to baseball, reading about the arts, politics, and classic literature, and generally drinking deeply of all that Pittsburgh has to offer.
