I've never really been one to procrastinate school work. That kid who always had the homework done and on time, usually ahead of time, that was me. But now as a senior, senioritis has set in and I just don't want to do much at this point; not good in any way. So here I am writing this blog and not studying for a midterm in approximately 13 hours.
Among the things that I don't want to do right now is of course studying, job-searching, working on other homework, dealing with silly people on campus, etc.
The job searching front has been looking slightly brighter at this point. I've basically resigned myself to living in Pittsburgh for a few years right now, to save money, get experience, etc so that I can get a good job and a nice apartment in DC when I can. I have an interview with WordWrite Communications in Wexford, PA on Friday morning. I'm really looking forward to it because it will be the first time that I can show my stuff to someone who is really looking to hire me for a real-life position, and living in Wexford would be a really good place for me to get some work (and life) experience.
I also just spent a few hours at a really great bistro downtown Pgh, Melange, for a PRSA networking event. I went with 3 other girls from my senior class, and it was a really great experience. We met a few young professionals who were really great and really willing to help out and offer advice. Hopefully something will come out of one of these things. I will continue to send resumes and letters to some local places and see what happens. Somehow this will all fal
